C. Text Review- Genesis28:10-19

The experience of Jacob in Genesis 28: 11 brings to fore realities of situations in which people feel lonely and abandoned. For instance, the sun of Jacob seemed to have set; progress became Standstill; stone was used as pillow; bare ground was used as bed to sleep and so no. However, the joyful thing was that the Lord was not far. Soon, He began to speak:
- I am the Lord God of thy father, Abraham... V.13a
- I will give you the land where upon you slept as your possession---- v.11c
- I will multiply thy seed to spread to the four corners of the earth. V.14a
- In you will the families of the world be blessed. V14b
- I am with you, I will keep you, I will not leave you.
Note - Teacher, please tell your students, that the Christian race may not rule out the possibility of using stone as pillow but the joy is that the Lord is there to turn their hopeless situations around. Tell them that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
